Update on the comic!

Sorry for the lack of update last month. This comic, among other things, has been keeping me pretty busy.

Probably not the most readable but I don't want to walk to a Kinkos or the Art Institute to use the large scanner. Enjoy! :)

Latest Comic Update

Thumbnails for the comic Nico and I are working on, Loony the Moonian. We're submitting this one to a small comic anthology. They're a little hard to read right now, I understand. These are mainly to see how well Nico's script works. We may have to tweak a few things but I generally like how this story is coming out.

I also wanted an update for the month so....there ya go.

Also Happy New Year! :)

Some storyboards for Halloween!

Some storyboards that I made a long time ago. These were done for a movie pitch for director, Liz Vice. I had a lot of fun working on this although I feel like I may have over done some of the shading/layering. Took a long time, too! Kind of one of those live and learn things.

I might (MIGHT!!) redo these so that they work out of context but for now, I think I've spent enough time on them. Hope everyone has a happy Halloween! :)

Last of the Activist for a while

Cover's finished.

You can read all the twisted hilarity at Nico's blog!

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go prepare for CTN. ;)

Activist Update!

The inked drawings!

Not gonna lie. I kinda struggled on this one.
I tried doing a new technique where I take the roughs from the last step and print them out at a larger scale, with all the black turned to a blue outline. After that, I ink directly on top of the drawings. Thing is, my roughs were pretty ugly to begin with so I can't shake the feeling that these pages are slightly better than a polished turd! Kinda wish I redrew these at a larger scale, where I would've had much more confidence in my art.

Oh well. Nico liked 'em and I appreciate that! I did have fun making them, too. I just need to work more with reference material and maybe, after the roughs, draw some stronger character designs. I feel like I'm finding my rhythm here! :)
