Doomed to Repeat it! (Truly Historical Improv)

My Latest for the Brody Theater!

My improv teacher, Kerry Leek, is directing a history themed improv show and commissioned me to do the poster for it! I love doing these!

Here are the roughs. Kerry told me that past shows involved the Hindenburg, the flight at Kitty Hawk (Wright Bros.), the rise of the Roman Empire, and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. These are the ideas I came up with:

 

 A simple idea in case the deadline was getting close.

My idea (the selected one). Kind of an Epic Movie feel to it (including Bad Ass Washington).

Kerry's idea. She liked mine but I wouldn't have minded working on this one either. :)

For my friend Ashley

Some character designs I did for the very talented Ashley Bales. She's working on some childrens books that aren't exactly for children. :)

These are for a character named Hypoch Andrea. Ashley wanted kind of a Tim Burton style so I studied him and a few other art styles similar to his.

My Acting Debut!

Next to animation, I've always had an interest in acting. Here's a short film that I starred in recently.

The crew that I worked with (one of them does improv with me at the Brody Theater) were really cool and very professional. I don't know if I'll pursue acting as a career but sometimes doing these things can really help with the creative muscles.
