Who the heck is this?!

A little sketch of myself...

I made this while sitting in on an animation class. This was inspired by all the beer runs I was doing with my buddies while graduating from AI. Since I got my new scanner today, I thought I'd play around with this a bit.



I thought a loose painting job would fit with the loose sketches. I'm going to try to make more of these little cartoons. They are a lot of fun.

Flour Sac, inked and colored!

I tied this down straight ahead and then colored it. This was fun and I'd like to use this approach for future projects but there are a few things I clearly need to work on.

-My line work definitely needs to be refined. The rough edges are pretty distracting and it made the sac harder to color.

-Certain poses could use a bit more thought. I don't know how obvious it is in this but the sac's push off looked a little awkward when tying this down. I suppose I could fix this during the thumb-nailing process.

All in all, I had fun doing this and I'm going to push myself to work on these things at least once a week.

Trying to get more practice drawing with my Cintiq. Here's the animation roughs of a flour sac. I'll tie this down and color it later on. I want to get into the habit of doing this daily.
